Happy thanksgiving!

As always, there’s lots going on!

Volunteers desperately needed for the Scholastic fair and Monster’s Ball! These events cannot happen without more volunteers. They are very short commitments and we would love some new volunteers to join us. So far, those organizing and signed up to volunteer also run Noon hour programs, the Welcome Back social, the year end party, are on the PAC executive, do hot lunch, are class parents, organize Santa’s workshop, etc. We are tiring these people out! 😉Please, please sign up for a short shift (or two!). It’s a wonderful opportunity for people who would love to donate some time but don’t have a lot of it. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make some new friends as well as help our school community. Please see where you can sign up below. Thank you!

This week:

PAC meeting this Tuesday, October 9th at 7pm in the library! Please join us to discuss and vote on the proposed PAC budget for 2018/19. Note: the library budget will be discussed at the meeting. Don’t worry! We have budgeted for what Mme. Michele has asked for. 😉 Babysitting is available as always.

Direct Appeal– Thank you all so much for your generosity once again this year! We are happy to report that we came very close to reaching our goal. There are several people who have asked us to keep the donations open because they haven’t had a chance to donate yet. We are happy to continue accepting donations this week either online via Munchalunch or by cheque ion the slot outside the office. Cheques are made out to Trafalgar Elementary PAC.

DPAC Candidates Forum – the candidates forum for the VSB election started with a stand up question period (with the questions posed by our moderator, Tracy Sherlock) and then moved to a speed-dating style question and answer period with a couple of candidates at each table for five minutes before moving on to the next table.  There’s video for the initial Q&A and the candidates written answers here.
