Happy Holidays to you all! This will be the last email blast until the New Year. This contains all the information needed to get through the next two weeks. Please read carefully and all the way to the end for more information, including noon hour program and after-school program registration.
Also to note: there is NO PAC meeting this month. It was originally scheduled for Dec. 11th but since the agenda is light and parents are busy, we will resume in the New Year.
Wednesday, December 12th-
The choir and band are holding a holiday performance at 6pm. The choir will perform first followed by the band performance at 7pm. Entrance is by donation. The band has had some unexpected costs this year so please come out and support this amazing program while enjoying some great music!
Thursday, December 13th-
Please join us for a festive drink at the holiday coffee morning from 9-10am!
Dr. Emu Garzitto, our school councillor, will be holding a parent workshop right after coffee morning for all parents. Come learn how to encourage resilience and independence in your children. The workshop will take place from 10-11:30am in the activity room.
Pick up for poinsettias and gift cards for the Quebec fundraiser are in Room 112 (Mme. Aimee’s old room) at the following times:
Poinsettias from 8:30-9:30am and 2:30-5pm
Gift cards from 8:30-9:30am
Friday, December 14th-
Santa’s workshop– Please send your child(ren) with some loonies and a list to buy gifts for family! Stop by the activity room after school to see what’s left to buy! Donations and gift bags (WE NEED GIFT BAGS! It makes it so much easier for primary students to wrap and not lose gifts) will be accepted in the hall across from the staff room until Thursday, Dec 13th. Donation ideas include books, jewellery, cufflinks, Games, puzzles, candles, toys, ornaments, etc. All funds raised go to a local charity to be decided by the grade 6 and 7 students.
PJ day! Students are invited to wear pjs to school.
Staff appreciation lunch- we are so thankful for our amazing teachers and staff! The Kindergarten parents and the PAC are organizing a special lunch this day for teachers and staff. Thank you to the Kindergarten parents for helping us show them how much we appreciate them.
Movie Night! Need some extra time for festive preparations or looking for a great way to entertain your kids?? The Grade 7’s will be hosting a supervised After School Movie Party! All kids are invited to enjoy a screening of The Polar Express. This fun event will be held from 3:00 until 5:30 in the gym. Proceeds will help fund the Grade 7 Quebec Exchange. Grade 7 students will pick up K – Gr 3 students from their classrooms and escort them to the gym; Grade 4 and up can head straight to the gym after the bell. Admission is $10 for one child and $5 for each subsequent child within a family, and includes a healthy snack (fruit, popcorn, and water). A signed permission form is required. Permission forms are available outside the office, and an electronic copy is available here. Tickets will be sold from 8:30-8:50 and 3:00-3:20 every day the week of December 10th in the front hallway, and will also be available at the door. Students must provide a signed permission form in order to buy a ticket.
Tickets purchased in advance will be delivered to classrooms on December 14.

Carols in the hall- Every morning, from 8:25 am-8:50 am, during the week of December 17-21, we invite the community to join us in signing carols in the front lobby. Thank you to Shaleena Jeraj for organizing this once again. Please join us for this Trafalgar tradition!
Friday, December, 21st-
Wear green, red, an ugly sweater, or any holiday accessories to school!
Please join us for our Christmas play and sing-along on Friday, December 21st at 1:30 pm. Join us if you can.
