Meet the Teacher / Welcome Back Social – Thurs, 19 Sept

All Trafalgar families (students, siblings, parents/caregivers) are invited to come to a “Meet the Teacher/Welcome Back Social” event on Thursday, September 19. We will begin at 5pm in the gym with introductions from the school staff and then there will be two ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions – the first from 5:20pm to 5:40pm and the second from 5:40pm to 6pm.

There will be food, drink, and a space to eat, mingle, and meet some members of our Trafalgar community. Entertainment will be provided by the Trafalgar Senior Band.

This event is free of charge, and sponsored by the Trafalgar PAC.

Trafalgar School Band Announcement

Senior Band: All 2018/19 returning (beginning and senior) band members will be placed in the senior band in 2019/20. The first practice will take place in the Activity/Lunch Room @ 8:00 am on Monday (September 9th). Please bring a band fee cheque and arrive 5 minutes early to help set up.

Beginning Band: The first practice will take place in the Activity/Lunch Room @ 8:00 am on Tuesday (September 10th). Please bring a band fee cheque and a signed liability waiver form and arrive 5 minutes early to help set up. For anyone who has just placed their rental order on the Tapestry web site, we will have the instruments, music books and music stand ready for you.

Kidpreneurs Commerce – (Wed) Oct 2 to Dec 11 Gr 1-3 (Lemonade Stand Kids) Gr 4-7 (KidPreneur) 3:15-4:15 KidPreneurs learn about the world of entrepreneurship by starting their own micro business in a fun, age appropriate, hands-on program. Program ends with a Market Day where KidPreneurs debut their businesses and sell their products to the community. Vancouver Eagles Basketball Practice and Games – Ages 6-8, 8-9 and 10-12 at Trafalgar Monday Wednesday After 5pm www.vancouvereagles.com  Our goal is to develop their physical and basketball fundamental skills, individual and social skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Vancouver Eagles is a club where children can develop an appreciation of basketball in a fun and non- threatening environment

Weekend Robotics Program on Saturdays at University Chapel Hill (UBC) Daedalos Academy Lego Robotics Gr 1-3 (We Do) Gr 4-7 (Mindstorms) (Saturdays) 10:00-noon or 1pm to 3 pm (5 sessions) Sept 14 – Oct 19 and Oct 26 to Nov 30
