Little Monsters Ball – Friday October 28th – Tickets on Sale!

The Little Monsters Ball will be held on Friday October 28th at the school in the evening. Tickets are on sale this week starting tomorrow morning in the school’s main lobby. The PAC is still looking for volunteers for this Halloween event to take care of ticket sales, music, games, purchasing and various other posts.
This event cannot be held without volunteer organizers, if you are able to help, please contact ASAP.

Halloween Pumpkin Patch – October 28th – Save the Date

Please save the date for Trafalgar’s Halloween Pumpkin Patch which has been scheduled for Friday October 28th. Students, parents, siblings and friends are welcome to scour the field and select the perfect pumpkins for carving. More information on this wonderful event is coming soon! Volunteers are welcome to help with pumpkin sales – please contact to volunteer.

We Scare Hunger Food Drive – October 17th – 28th

Student Council will be running a “WE SCARE HUNGER” Halloween Food Drive School-Wide Monday, Oct. 17th -Friday, Oct. 28th. The class to collect the most donations for the Food Bank will win a Pizza Party! The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is at an all time low and are in desperate need of donations. Thank you to Student Council for stepping up to help! Each class will be given a box in their classroom to collect donations beginning Monday, October 17th . There will also be a slot to donate money directly to the Food Bank in front of the office. The Food Bank is able to purchase twice the amount of food with cash donations. Student Council has a few other ideas for helping to generate donations for the food bank- stay tuned!
The items most in need of donations: · Pasta and Pasta Sauce · Canned Meat and Fish · Canned Goods (vegetables, fruit, beans, soup etc) · Nut Butters · Baby Formula · Non-Sugary Cereal · Rice

PAC Meeting – October 18th

The second PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) meeting of the year will be Tuesday October 18th. All PAC meetings are held in the school’s library and begin at 7 PM. All parents and guardians are welcome. Please check the Events Page for future PAC meetings.

Hot Dog Day – October 19th

Dig out those toonies and loonies, Wednesday is hot dog day! Dogs are $2 each, include all the usual toppings, contain no added preservatives and come in a whole wheat bun. Hot Dog Days are generally every other Wednesday. Please see the events page to see and subscribe to the school’s calendar for hot dog and hot lunch days and all important dates.
Hot Dog Day Call for Volunteers – Who doesn’t love to see smiling, young faces so very happy to see you…and their lunch? Do you have some time over the noon hour on Wednesdays? Then you are a perfect candidate to become a hot dog day volunteer. It’s easy as pie and lots of fun. Please contact for information on how to get started.

Goal Setting Conferences – Early Dismissal October 19th 2:00PM

Goal setting conferences will be taking place this week for some divisions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. School will be dismissed early at 2:00PM on Wednesday October 19th to accommodate these conferences.

I LOVE Hip Hop Performances – October 20th

Students have been participating in Hip Hop classes and working hard on these dance routines.  This year all students K-7 will participate in Hip Hop and will perform in a final showcase in the gym on Thursday, October 20th. All parents are welcome to join us in the gym for the parent performance from 11:00-12:00pm. Grade 3 parents are welcome to join for the student dress rehearsal in morning from 9:30-10:30a.m, as the Grade 3 students have a special presentation that day from 11:00-12:00pm.

Cross Country Finals – October 20th Trout Lake – 1:00 PM

Cross Country Finals will be held on Thursday October 20th at Trout Lake starting at 1:00 PM. Please come out to cheer on our amazing athletes if you can!

EarthBites – Pocket Market – October 20th

Thursday is EarthBites day at Trafalgar. Every Thursday in October from 2:30 – 3:15 PM there will be a pocket market. The markets raise money for the garden to buy soil, seeds, plants and are a great way to pick up fresh veggies for supper while on your way to pick up the kids, so don’t forget your pocket money. Herbs and greens from the garden will be on sale as well as nutritious and delicious after school snacks.
