Update! – French Immersion Kindergarten Intake
Informational Meeting – Tuesday May 16th @ 6:30PM

At the upcoming PAC meeting on Tuesday May 16th, the executive will reserve time to discuss this very important issue. PAC business will begin early at 6:30 and the French immersion kindergarten intake issue will be discussed once we have finished with the regular PAC agenda.
A note the City of Vancouver Emergency Preparedness presentation has been cancelled in order to accommodate this important discussion and will be rescheduled to a later date.
Current Update: Thank you to parents who signed our letter and for your personal letters to the VSB regarding Kindergarten Intake for 2017/18 and beyond. We have a received a response from the VSB, you can read it here
We know parents are concerned about this response.  A decrease in capacity for Kindergarten enrolment impacts parents across Vancouver, but choice programs like Trafalgar’s French immersion are disproportionately impacted.  We are reaching out to other affected schools to gather more information and coordinate a parent response. The media has published some coverage of the issue.

Thank you, Thank YOU! – Volunteer Tea Party – May 16th @ 2:30PM

Our numerous Trafalgar Parent Volunteers are instrumental in ensuring the success of our school. They assist teachers in the classrooms, they volunteer on field trips, they check late arrivals in the mornings, they organize hot lunches, they help out in the library, they launch many great celebrations throughout the year and are involved in many more endeavours, too numerous to list. Trafalgar School could not manage without them! That is why we invite all these wonderful volunteers to a Tea Party on May 16th, between 2:30 and 4:00 pm in the library. Invitations will be sent out but we hope any parent who has participated in our school’s success, will come and enjoy some time with other volunteers, school administrators and staff.
