First PAC meeting of the year – this Tuesday

Parents, please join us in the school library at our monthly Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meetings.  We will discuss how our school funds will be used to enrich our children’s experience at school.  This year, we are looking for babysitters during the meetings.  If your child is in grade 6 or older this year, and they are interested in making some pocket money and gaining work experience, please contact us at  Our first meeting is on Tuesday, September 12th at 7PM and every first Tuesday of the month thereafter.  We look forward to meeting you and having your input!

Direct Appeal

Please check your child’s backpack this week for information on Trafalgar’s annual Direct Appeal campaign.  Every year we ask that each family donate to our PAC in order to fund enriching activities at the school such as athletics, tech, art, gardening and the library, to name a few.  This year’s campaign runs until September 29th.  You can drop off a cheque at the school in the drop-box outside the office, or donate online at  Please help us reach our goal of $25,000.

Unfortunately, we have had a few reports of parents u-turning in front of the school.  Parents, we try to teach our children patience — let’s lead by example.
