Tuesday and Wednesday ! Hooray For Reading! Next Week the annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held on Tuesday from 1:30pm- 7pm and Wednesday from 1:30- 5pm. We invite your entire family to stop by the Fair being held in the gym during the Student Goal Setting Conferences to browse this years’ collection of French and English books. Get an early jump on your holiday shopping by supporting this years’ Book Fair- For every 2 Books sold at the fair, Trafalgar earns 1 Free Book for the School! Trout Lake x-country district finals– the final x-country meet is this Thursday, October 18th at 1pm.

11th Annual Trafalgar Pumpkin Patch– Come visit our own pumpkin patch on Friday, October 26th before (and during) the Monster’s Ball! Buy your pumpkin at our school and your payment will go toward the BC Cancer foundation and Trafalgar Elementary PAC. This event will run from Noon-8pm.

Southlands Elementary PAC presents Fostering Gratitude and Kindness in Children with Dr. Carla Fry and Dr. Lisa Ferrari, Directors of the Vancouver Psychology Centre. Wednesday, October 24th at 6:30pm at Southlands Elementary. Entry is free. RSVP to Southlands.elementary.events@gmail.com.
DPAC meeting – Oct 25 – SOGI 123 for parents – All interested parents and guardians are invited to attend our October general meeting on SOGI 123 with presenters Matt Carruthers (former SOGI District Lead) and Renee Hock (VSB Diversity Mentor). In particular, the DPAC chair would like to invite parents who have concerns with SOGI education in schools to attend to begin a dialogue. We will have translation services available for parents who require them.
