This week students will be learning about Remembrance Day in the classroom and will be attending a school-wide Remembrance Day ceremony at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 9th. Parents and guardians are welcomed to join. The assembly will be hosted by members of the Student Council and will include a few class presentations. All students and staff will receive a poppy at no cost to be worn during the assembly. A reminder school will be closed for a Curriculum Implementation Day on the 10th and for Remembrance Day on November 11th.
Monthly Coffee Morning – Tomorrow! 9–10AM
Remember when the clocks going back meant an extra hour of sleep? Definitely time for that second cup of coffee after drop-off and tomorrow we’ve got you covered! The third monthly Trafalgar coffee morning will be held on Monday November 7th from 9-10 AM in the school’s activity room and will be hosted by the grade 3 and 4 parents. This is a great way to start your day and meet and chat with other parents. Further, the International Dinner Fashion Show team are looking for volunteers interested in doing a turn on the catwalk. Together We Can Go Beyond: PAC Fundraising Campaign 2016 – Deadline November 13th
Trafalgar’s PAC is now in its final week of fundraising for it’s Go Beyond campaign – ending November 13th. Your PAC appreciates all the generous donations from Trafalgar families so far! These funds will help enrich our children’s education. With a goal of raising $20,000, donations will go towards books for the library, computers, cultural performances, the garden, and more. Loonie-Toonie Sale – November 14th and 15th
On November 14th and 15th, the school will hold a ‘Loonie-Toonie’ sale of used books. All proceeds from the sale are donated to the BC Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Annie Law will hold this sale during recess and lunch. Last year, the two sales in November and May, raised over one thousand dollars for the Children’s Hospital! So fill your pockets with loonies and toonies and pick up some literary treasures while donating to a good cause.
Festive Fundraiser Campaign – Deadline November 18th
Are you already dreading the trek to the malls for holiday shopping? Well, you can relax! The grade 7 French Immersion students are going to Québec and are selling chocolates, poinsettias and gift cards to fund their trip. Check those book bags for order forms and get your shopping done in the comfort of your own home. The ordering deadline is Friday November 18th.

- the form can also be filled out to submit a direct donation to the Quebec Exchange
Order some cards for yourself to use or as gifts. Order poinsettias for your home or business, and chocolates – well that’s an easy one! The Grade 7’s appreciate your support so please support them in this important culmination of their primary school experience. All items will be delivered to the school for easy-as-pie pick up on Wednesday December 7th from 3:00-5:00 pm. Trafalgar Spirit Wear – Deadline Monday November 14th
The school will be running a second campaign of Trafalgar Spirit Wear. If you didn’t get a chance to order last spring here is a chance to pick up a t-shirt, hoodie or sweat pants for the Spirit Wolves and Spirit Cubs in your family just in time for Christmas! What a great way to show your school spirit. Sample sizes and order forms are available in the office. The deadline for ordering is Monday, November 14th.
