Take Cover – Here Comes The Big One at Two! – Thursday May 4th

The Big One at Two-Earthquake Drill occurs every year in May. The Vancouver Board of Education runs a district wide Earthquake drill. This year the drill for all Vancouver schools will be held, rain or shine, on Thursday, May 4th at 2:00 pm. Once the drill is completed, we may return to the building. As this can be a long process, we anticipate finishing this practice close to 3:00 pm. Therefore, if you do arrive prior to 3:00 pm on that day, chances are we will NOT be in the building but on the field.
This year, the VSB is adding a mock student-parent Emergency Reunification to the drill. We encourage parents to help us practice for this important event. Please see more information on this in the recent school newsletter here.
