Clean your home of unwanted clothing and household goods, support the Canadian Diabetes Association, and help out the Trafalgar Gr.7 Quebec Exchange — a win/win/win opportunity!
On April 11, 2012, the Gr.7 French Immersion class will be collecting used clothing and small household goods for the CDA “Money in the Bag” program. This will help raise money for the Quebec Exchange, and will help fund programs leading to better treatments for diabetes and, ultimately, a cure.
The following items can be donated:
– clothing
– small household items
– books
– small toys
The following items cannot be collected:
– magazines and encyclopedias
– safety items
– electronics
– any items that cannot fit in a box or a bag
Bring these items to the school on April 11 in bags and/or boxes, and rid your house of all the excess! The more bags and boxes we collect (payment to the school will be based on quantity of bags as opposed to weight), the more money will be raised.
Donating items is easy:
You can either
– bring your donations to the undercover area at the back of the school,
– or you can give them to the Gr. 7 students who will be at the front of the school with wheelbarrows between 8:30-8:55 am and 3:05-3:30 pm,
– or if you absolutely can’t get items to the school on April 11, please send an email to with your name and address, and we will arrange pick-up.
Thank you in advance for supporting these great initiatives!
