This update is full of great festive events!

Trafalgar Band performances – Dec 13 and 14

The Trafalgar school band is excited to be presenting two musical events next week featuring the Trafalgar Band and Choirs. On Wednesday, Dec. 13th, there will be a school assembly at 9:00 am that will feature the band and choir, as well as some festive classroom presentations. Parents are welcome to attend this assembly. On the evening of Thursday, Dec. 14th, at 7:00 pm, we will present our full concert program for the Band as well as the Junior and Senior Choirs. There will be refreshments for performers and audience members following the concert. The event should take about an hour, including snack time. Please invite any family, friends, neighbours and other people in the lives of your children who would be interested in supporting these young musicians. There is no entrance fee for this event, however there will be a PAC donation box should anyone wish to kindly donate to our programming. We would appreciate some volunteers to come at 6:30 to help us set up chairs and stands.

Festive coffee morning – Dec 15

Trafalgar will be holding a holiday coffee morning on December 15th at 9am in the activity room. Come join other parents to celebrate the season over a coffee and treats. If you are able to volunteer for this event, please email

Santa’s workshop 2017 – Dec 18th

Trafalgar’s fourth annual Santa’s Workshop will be held on December 18th.  The workshop gives all our little elves the opportunity to purchase gifts for their loved ones for only $1 per item.  Proceeds from this event will be donated to a local charity.  The team is now accepting donations! Items can be dropped off in the hall across from the staff room along the gallery wall. Some popular items include books, jewellery, cufflinks, DVDs, CDs, Games, puzzles, candles, pictures, toys, ties, scarves, vases, ornaments and anything else that could be re-gifted. Gifts for Moms and Dads run out quickly so donations of men’s and women’s gifts are very much appreciated. Starting Monday, there will be a box in each homeroom that we are hoping parents will fill with wrapping paper, gift bags of all sizes (preferred!), bows, name tags, and tape for the kids to use. If you would like to help volunteer for this fun event, please contact Jennie at

After school program registration

We have after school programs that have something for every child.  For example, Sea Smart:
Join us on an exciting ocean adventure with fun, interactive games and activities to learn how we can help our oceans.  Sea Smart’s hands-on program helps your child develop essential life skills like critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration.  There’s no better way to get your feet wet in the world of marine biology and empower your child to make the world a better place!
All of our after school programs can be found on our  Winter 2017 extracurriculars page – alongside information for Dolphin Kids, Lego animation, Lego robotics, Minecraft adventures, Python programming and Little Rembrandts!
