Reminder – Tomorrow is Hot Lunch

Put that lunch box away, tomorrow is hot lunch! You can still sign up for any upcoming Hot Lunch this term. The cut-off is the Thursday, one week prior to the actual Hot Lunch date.
Orders are sent to vendors one week in advance of the Hot Lunch date, which means the system closes at midnight the Thursday before. For example, for Hot Lunch on May 13th, we have to send in our orders on May 6th, so the deadline is midnight, Thursday May 5th (tonight!).
The Hot Lunch team is also still looking for parent volunteers to deliver hot lunches.Any questions, please contact the Hot Lunch team at Thank you for supporting your PAC!

Finish the week with a refreshing treat! A reminder there is a popsicle sale tomorrow after school  in support of graduation festivities.

Upcoming PAC Meeting – Guest Speaker – Zones of Regulation – May 18 7:00 PM

All parents and guardians are welcome to the April Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting.
The meeting will take place at 7:00 PM in the school library.One of the school’s goals this year was to implement the self-regulation program Zones of Regulation. Early in the year, staff and students began to work with Todd Schleyer, who is a STIBS (Short Term Intensive Behaviour Support) worker from VSB. Todd is very knowledgeable, experienced and has worked with students of all ages in our district. Todd will be speaking at the upcoming PAC meeting to explain the program to parents. Come out and learn more about this important initiative.

The Trafalgar Out of School Care Society (TOOSCS) is currently accepting applications for a part-time Administrator / Bookkeeper. Social Media Education and Awareness Session – Wednesday May 18th

Social media and mobile communications have changed our world and the way our children communicate and socialize – are you keeping up with the changing technology? Are you comfortable parenting in the age of online communication?
The Kitsilano PAC is excited to have renowned social media expert and speaker Jesse Miller of Mediated Reality ( present to parents the realities facing youth as they become social media users; what kids are really doing on-line and how parents can help keep their children safe. Jesse’s presentation will be followed by a question and answer period. We welcome all Kitsilano parents and parents from surrounding schools to join us for this very important event.
