Want a Break from Making Lunch?

Do your kids enjoy a hot lunch at school? Could you use a break from making them lunch? Hot lunch ordering from September until January will be open on Tuesday, Sept 19th ! The Trafalgar Elementary School sponsors hot lunch every Friday and sub sandwiches every Wednesday (starting Oct 18th ) when school is in session. Ordering from February-June will be open in early 2018.
The first hot lunch is on September 29th , and the deadline to place orders is Thursday, September 21st .
Go to https://trafalgar.hotlunches.net. The access code is PAC2017HL.  You must register each new school year. So, even if you have registered in the past, please register again for this school year.

Hot lunch accounts

There are many different registrations open this week so it is very important that all families have logged onto their hot lunch account this weekend to ensure all information is correct. The website is trafalgar.hotlunches.net. The amazing hot lunch co-ordinators, Connie Kwan and Juliet Dong, updated our Trafalgar students homerooms over the weekend (thanks so much ladies!) but please go on to ensure all of your children’s information is correct because this could impact their registrations this week. For example, should your child’s homerooms still say Kindergarten from last year, they will be unable to register for Noon Hour programs.

Direct Appeal

We are off to a wonderful start in the first week of Direct Appeal! Keep those forms coming as the campaign does not end until September 29th. *Important note-The forms are missing the section where you put your address for tax receipts. Please write your address on the forms. The funds support all of the great PAC supported programs our children do at Trafalgar from year to year. We are also hoping to bring in some new programs and resources such as robotics for intermediates. The teachers are really excited about that one because not only is it incredibly fun, challenging, and engaging for students but it also directly supports the new curriculum with all of the it’s inquiry-based learning.

Welcome Back Social

Please join us on Thursday, September 21st after the parent/teacher sessions for the Welcome Back social! It is a great opportunity to meet new parents as well as share a slice of pizza with your child(ren)’s new teacher. Pizza is being sold for $1 per slice on our hot lunch website (trafalgar.hotlunches.net). Please purchase for your family before 10pm on Wednesday, September 20th. The children will be treated with mini ice cream cones. 🍦This event will happen rain or shine.  If you are available to volunteer for this event, please email us at info@trafalgarpac.ca. We hope to see you there!

Noon hour programs

Noon Hour program registration opens tomorrow morning. The programs sell out in minutes so have those fingers ready to go at exactly 7:00am! We are running ‘lite’ programming this fall until we know the fate of our empty classroom so we are asking that families register each child for one program only on Day 1 of registration. Please feel free to register your child(ren) for another class should there still be space on Tuesday, September 19th.

After school programs – Registration open
