Sports Day!
Dear Community,
This years Sports Day is on Friday June 9th from 9:30am-2pm, parents are invited to attend and watch on the grass field. In working with the school we are making this our first ever Green Sports Day, no disposable water bottles, we will have a City of Van Water Station and Waste Disposal bins. Please remember your child’s refillable water bottles, sunscreen and a hat!
The teachers have asked for our help in providing the following snacks, enough of each item for each child in their class to have one of each –
1 bag of apples (pre washed)
1 bag of bananas
1 bag of mandarins
Please drop of your donations in a bag with the Division # clearly labelled to the PAC kitchen at 10am on Friday June 9th. Do NOT drop it off at the classrooms.
The teachers have asked for volunteers this year to help with the following:
1. Sorting the snacks into trays and distributing at the different snack times
2. Setting up the tents/taking down tents
3. Helping the kids at the refillable water station
4. Making sure garbage and recycling is disposed of properly
PAC is providing organic freezies for each student and all of the highschool volunteers.
The teachers have also asked for a donation of canned goods from each student to help achieve their goal of collecting for the food bank.
