Last week for Direct Appeal fundraising

We are coming into the last week of our 2021 – 2022 Direct Appeal campaign. The Direct Appeal campaign raises funds that are used to benefit the Trafalgar community by enhancing social, academic, and engagement opportunities, like in-person events! The PAC is asking all families who are able to make a donation. To reach our fundraising goal the request is that each family make a donation of $125, however a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated! To learn more about initiatives the PAC uses the funds raised for, and to make your donation please click here.

The Halloween Monster's Ball is Back with a Daytime Twist!

The School and PAC will be hosting a daytime version of the Monster’s Ball filled with ghoulish games, a haunted house and more on Friday, October 29th.  Teachers will be able to sign up their class for a scheduled visit to engage in some Halloween FUN and primary grades (K – 3) will participate in an outdoor costume parade!

We all know the kids will be brimming with excitement so this is a great way to end the week and month with Halloween just around the corner. Students are encouraged to wear their halloween costume to school that day.

We Need Your HELP!

We need a few more Volunteers to help set up and take down the amazing haunted house on the stage. Please use this link to sign-up. We appreciate your support!

Your PAC contributions at work!

The Library and the Learning Commons is an important hub where students develop their reading skills, learn about the world through non-fiction, get drawn into fictional worlds and characters through novels, do research, and learn through play on computer workstations. We hope, too, that they develop a lifelong love of libraries that they will take with them into the community when they graduate. The PAC contributed to purchasing tables, bookshelves, and comfy seating for the library where students can enjoy a book read aloud by Mme Grant or curl up on a chair with a book of their own.

Please answer our Transportation Survey

Your Parent Advisory Committee would like to better understand how Trafalgar families transport their children to school and if there are any barriers that make active transportation difficult for some families. We hope to use this information to make it easier and safer for all children to get to school, to improve traffic flow for those families that drive, and to advocate to the City of Vancouver for improvements to roads and sidewalks to make it safer for our kids to get to school.

The survey takes only 3 minutes and is anonymous and confidential, unless you ask to be contacted. Please share your responses.

Trafalgar Cross Country Team

Trafalgar’s intermediate students took to the track and trails of Camosun Park for the last Mini-Meet of the year. Our girls and boys were well represented in all age groups. That wraps up Cross Country season for 2021. A huge congratulations to all the runners!
